1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Heario you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. Licence

Heario grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the software on your own devices. You may not resell, sublicence, reverse-engineer, or redistribute Heario without written permission.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Heario only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Use Heario to record or transcribe conversations without the consent of all parties where required by law
Use Heario to cheat in academic examinations or assessments that prohibit AI assistance
Attempt to circumvent any security or access-control mechanism in the software
Use Heario to generate or transmit illegal, defamatory, or harmful content

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time via our customer portal (enter your license key), or by emailing support@heario.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

5. Free Trial

The Free Trial plan is limited to 10 AI requests, 20 minutes of speech-to-text, and 2 web searches, in total — these are one-time allowances, not a recurring monthly amount. No credit card is required. Upgrading to a paid plan moves you to that plan's own usage limits.

Please see our Refund Policy for full details. In general, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in Heario — including the software, branding, and website — belongs to Heario. User-generated content (your prompts, transcripts, notes) remains yours.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Heario is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated answers will be accurate. You use AI-generated content at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heario's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the software shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Heario after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.
